A chance to be sporting heroes

Sports fans are gearing up for a momentous week as both Louth Minors and Dundalk FC set their sights on glory.

Louth  Minors will be aiming for a first Leinster title since 1953 when they take on Dublin in the decider at Croke Park on Sunday afternoon. It has been 46 years since the Wee County last appeared in the final and a huge crowd is expected to travel to get behind Wayne Kierans’ side.

Meanwhile, Dundalk FC are back in Championship League action when they host Rosenburg in Oriel Park tonight (Wednesday). Following their heroic exploits last year the expectations will be high once again as Stephen Kenny leads his team into battle against the Norwegian champions.
