School orchestra teams up with CBOI

Dundalk’s newest school Coláiste Chú Chulainn and The Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland have joined forces to continue the good work of the CBOI.
Principal Thomas Sharkey stated: “With a new building in the heart of Dundalk, we are ideally placed to host music lessons and orchestra rehearsals in the region. We were delighted to be approached by Sharon Treacy Dunne recently when she requested the use of our facilities. Louth & Meath Education and Training Board is always open to facilitating young people’s interests and cultural activities. Music is at the heart of our school curriculum and students are often performing in school at social events.
“Our new partnership means that young people will be using our school at evenings and weekends. Young people and their families will have easier access to their musical interests. The Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland will have the use of Ireland’s newest school facilities.
