MAD YT night for charity

Last Thursday night MAD Couture fashion show was held at the Spirit Store to help raise funds for the Dundalk branch of Rainbow Ireland. The M.A.D Youth Theatre members-committee came up with the idea to explore the idea of costume making to fill in the summer months with activities.
Committee member Calvin Magee spoke about the event and how the theatre group wanted to give back to the community.
“We had been making different costumes throughout the summer and I felt we could go even further and put on a fashion show to display the unique concepts and creations from our members. We also wanted to serve and give back to our community so we decided to give all profitsraised to the local branch of Rainbow Ireland,” explained Calvin.
“The fun filled night was hosted by myself and Gerry Ball with music from Francis Watters and Rorie Ball,” he added.
Representative of Rainbow Ireland Dundalk Peter Rooney was also present on the night and talked about the impact and the need the service has on children and young people. He also made an appeal for more volunteers and facilitators. Please contact Dundalk local centre for more information on becoming a facilitator or making a donation at
