Stunning week for local sport

It is a case of celebrations all round after another stunning week on the sporting front.
Among the successes enjoyed by local athletes are Louth Ladies winning the All-Ireland Final, Dundalk winning the EA Sports Cup, Eve McCrystal claiming another world title alongside Katie-George Dunlevy and Caolan Rafferty lifting the Dundalk Scratch Cup for a third time in four years.
Louth claimed their third ever All Ireland Junior Championship thanks to a well-deserved 3-13 to 2-6 victory over Ulster champions Fermanagh.
Louth’s captain Kate Flood led by example, scoring 1-8 in total as Darren Bishop’s talented young side powered away from Fermanagh in the second half.
