Launch of Spring Programme at An Tain

An Táin Arts Centre Director have launched their Spring 2020 prrogramme with the promise of a wealth of local, national and international work in the new year.
A huge host of local and touring music has been lined up, including Barry Steele: The Roy Orbison Story, traditional Irish music with fiddler Kevin Burke and singer Patrick Feeney, a classical music treat on Mother’s Day from flautist, Karin Leitner and harpist, Teresa O’Donnell in Music of Irish Drawing Rooms, the return of the amazing One Night of Adele with Christina Rogers and local music from Ines Khai, a Guadeloupean singer based in Dundalk.
The Spring film season boasts classics such as Singin’ in the Rain as well as a variety of movies available at a discount with our Film Season tickets. Celebrate the Brigid of Faughart Festival with Cruinniu Lá Fhéile Bríde, a host of workshops, talks, poetry and music. Local acting talent from The Castle Players in Sive, SONG bring back Jekyll & Hyde after 10 years and the former theatre company in residence, Quintessence Theatre, bring their hilarious The Star of Chester’s Lane to the main stage for one night only.
There are a wealth of family events, such as a baby friendly screening of Wild Rose, starring Jessie Buckley and a free screening of the classic animated Lady and the Tramp. Some fun, family friendly theatre experiences in There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly and I Am Baba and of course the weekly Super Saturday Family Hangout, every Saturday, 10am to 3pm which now includes free storytelling on the last Saturday of the month.
